Common questions

Tappio can't find my computer. What should I do?

First, ensure both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network and Tappio is running on your computer. Then, verify that Local Network permission is turned on:

On iOS: Open Settings > Apps > Tappio.
On macOS: Open System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network.

Do I need an account to use Tappio?

No. There is no registration, email sign-up, or password to remember. Pairing your devices via QR code is all it takes to get started.

Which computers can I control?

Tappio currently supports macOS, with Windows support coming soon.

Is there an Android app?

Not yet — an Android version is in active development. The iPhone and iPad app launches first, with Android to follow.

How do I remove a paired computer?

You can remove a paired computer anytime from the device selector on your phone, or from the desktop app. Once removed, the device must scan a new QR code before it can connect again.
